✿ Meet the keeper ✿

After many hours, or even days of conversing with residents of the islands, chasing and befriending various Chumbus Dust, you've collected a little bit of this dust in your pockets. Some may have even pilfered a forgotten bucket or basket to collect the powder in. You've been wandering the islands but you've yet to bump into anyone that has really nailed down the proper outlines of this ritual you've heard so much about. You hear a rumbling from one of the piles you've found yourself picking through and an enormous creature's head beginds to rise from the refuse. A large Drajin's head rears back to come face to face with your Ranebopet, though the Drajin doesn't seem particularly hostile, you merely woke her  from her nap. 

She introduces herself as Charolette the Keeper, a huge Drajin that's bound to the islands she lives on. Her magic bond with the spire on the island keeps her tethered to this place with the magic innately in a Drajin and the magic that powers the ritual you've heard about. She knows all about this binding magic and explains to you that if you collect more of the powder from the Chumbus Dust that scoot about the island, she can provide you with what you'd need to complete this ritual.

Show your Ranebopet meeting Charolette the Keeper, are they spooked by the sight of an enormous Drajin? Are they seemingly unfazed by the large creature?

Spending time here on the islands and talking to residents of the islands, you've found that there's deeply magical things afoot on them. Wild magic unseen in Ranebo before. There are these creatures scooting about the piles of junk, seen basking in the sunlight, perched on ledges. These bundles of what looks like dust are actually creatures! The residents of the islands tell you these creatures hold strange magic within them, they spend all year living on magic, hope and other random dusty bits they can collect to grow larger. They shed little bits from their being that are said to be magical! The powder the Chumbus Dust sheds is used to create potions and spells that allow a magical ritual to take place, creating a bond that's unbreakable. But it can only be forged on the islands themselves. 

Show your Ranebopet trying to earn the trust of these newly found familiars! Are they rather skittish, curious, do they want what your Ranebopet has to offer? Do they find a smaller Dustling, or do they find a much larger one?

This prompt can be done more than once to try and get both types of Chumbus Dust!

✿ Journey to Phrygian Archipelago ✿

Captain Hawkes exploration this Sumnum was not in vain, many a resident of Ranebo helped her scour the seas of the world and this has lead to a great discovery. She wasn't sure what she found at first, but after investigating this isle she's come to you this Winty with her discovery. Hawkes has made public a map to an island off the coast of the Singing Spires. Phrygian (pronounced fri-jee-un) Archipelago as she's called it, it's a fairly sizable isle that almost looks like a single spire that formed outside of the rest of the well known Singing Spires. Isolated away, forgotten and out of sight, an interdimentional portal has opened in the hole of the ice spire, instead of making the eerie noise of the other spires, forgotten things end up here. The portal dumps out misplaced residents, familiars, toys, objects, anything someone's not thinking about anymore. Those who find themselves here on this forgotten island pile up the misplaced toys and items and settle in this place. Accepting their fate on this fairly deserted island. Hawkes says that the residents of the island are mostly friendly, but steward the forgotten beings and things. They've said there's some that seek out this set of islands for a special bonding ritual that's rather secretive.

Depict your Ranebopet traveling to the Phrygian Archipelago, do they collect the map from Hawkes first or is the journey easy? Or is the sea rough with icy, wintery storms? What sort of piles of junk do they encounter upon seeing the islands for the first time?

Once the frosts fall upon the world, the Clobee go to hibernate for Winty and these little bees emerge for the cold. Snobees and Hollibees are the coldy hardy cousins of Clobee. These little guys create hives from large icicles or in snowdrifts, they prefer icicles cause it keeps their honey at the perfect temperature. This honey has a sorbet like texture and many residents enjoy the Winty snack. 

Does your Ranebopet tend to these cold loving bees? Are they stealing some of that honey this year? Did they accidentally knock down an icicle and break a hive?

When Ghoworms emerge from their chrysalis, they migrate north as Glofly. These bright bugs revel in the cold, landing on trees en masse and looking very much like string lights on the snowy northern pines. They are known for eating the honey of Snobee and Hollibee, they will also follow around migrating Pinekin cause they mistake their starry lights as other Ghoflies.

Draw your Ranebopet with gloflies! How does your Ranebopet interact with them? Do they watch the gloflies from afar, or catch some in a jar to bring home? Maybe they plan to release some in their house to brighten up their personal tree!

✿ Pinekin Pilgrimage ✿

Pinekin are extremely common to snowy areas in winty, often found waddling around in forests and seeking things to decorate themselves with. You'll often see large groups of them standing still to gain energy to continue wandering the cold landscape. Where they are wandering? No one really knows, some say it's a sign that the winty is a bountiful one when a large group of Pinekin are seen wandering about. Often wandering Pinekin are followed by Ghoflies, which sometimes they mistake their starry tops to be other Ghoflies. 

Locals of Frospine say the Pinekin always end up at the top of Mt. Songrest, and originate from the Singing Spires. Some residents will follow them their whole journey to simply see if anything interesting happens, or if it's an omen of something worse. 

Does your Ranebo follow the Pinekin on their pilgrimage or are they simply observing them from afar? Are they trying to get rid of the pesky Ghoflies that might bother the Pinekin?

After collecting the dust from many Chumbus Dustlings you're able to finally bring the powder to the Keeper of the islands. She is impressed with your commitment to collect as much as you did. The massive Drajin procures something from a pile of what you thought was junk, upon closer inspection it's meticulously stacked rocks, empty bottles and pieces of paper. Though the piece of paper she takes from the pile is different. Its got a little picture of a Chumbus Dust on it and it's got rather strange writing on it. Charolette hands you the piece of paper and says, "Keep this well, it'll help you create an unbreakable bond with a being of your choice, ". Her rather soothing tone is calming as you take the scroll from her.

Now that you have the scroll from the Keeper of the islands, who will your Ranebopet bond with? Show your Ranebopet choosing their buddy to create this unbreakable bond with!

Design wearable gear or an outfit for your character that helps them perform a task! This could be for holding gathered berries, delivering packages, performing, espionage, diving, lighting the way for others, time travel, etc! You could think about your character's job or hobby and go from there. It can be anything!

Include a moodboard (in an image, photo album, stash, on pinterest) of things that would be helpful reference and inspiration for designing your outfit. Look at your moodboard as inspiration to generate ideas, and do some loose exploratory sketches to design your outfit. Take your favourite sketches and refine those ideas to develop an idea you really love!

When you're analyzing the style you'll be adapting, pay attention to the following:

• Posing and expression: What's the norm or range for these in your source?
• Shapes: Are the characters very geometric, or very soft and rounded?
• Line style and weight: Are the lines precise or sketchy, thick or thin? Do they vary in thickness, and where? 
• Color use: Style comes through in color choices as well. What kind of color choices does the source make? Are they usually muted, darkened, high-contrast, or oversaturated more than what you would use? Try to experiment with using color-picked colors from the source.
• Think about how the source might be drawing and how you'll imitate it- will you need to use bigger, looser strokes than normal? Will you need to work in blocks of color instead of line?
